Introductory Courses

Sunbury Yoga Society Introductory Courses

Introductory Courses are held periodically subject to demand, and are specifically designed for people new to Yoga and for those who have practised Yoga in other forms.

Basic concepts and techniques of Traditional, Classical, Raja and Hatha Yoga are explained and explored.

Introductory Course classes are usually held in sessions lasting for two hours on Friday evenings. Please ask for details.

A mat and a blanket/duvet should be brought to the class to lie on (for floor exercises) and wear warm loose clothes (a track suit is ideal). A heavy meal should be avoided less than three hours before the class and a light meal less than two hours before the class.

Please let us know in advance if you are suffering from any medical condition for which you are receiving treatment, and if you require any special facilities. Please advise your doctor of your intention to do Yoga.
